After the end of game of Thrones kidnaps us House of the Dragon into the dark fantasy world where power, intrigue and, er, incest are the order of the day. The story is told House Targaryen which also the of Emilia Clarke embodied Daenerys from the original.
After the first season was released on HBO in 2022, the German free TV premiere will take place. Every Monday there are two new episodes on ProSieben. And next week a major upheaval is taking place. So that there is no confusion, we will tell you about the biggest change in the series.

New stars for Rhaenyra and Alicent: House of the Dragon changes main actresses after episode 5
The story of House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and is primarily dedicated to two characters in the intrigue of Westeros: Princess Rhaenyra Targaryenthe daughter of King Viserys, and Alicent Hightowerthe daughter of Ser Otto Hightower, Hand of the King.
The first season comes in two halves. In the first five episodes we get to know Rhaenyra and Alicent at a young age. The remaining five episodes are dedicated to older versions of the characters. Between episodes 5 and 6 there is a Time jump of ten years takes place and the leading actresses are replaced.

The time jump and the change of actresses are well justified from a creative perspective. Without giving too much away: The relationship between Rhaenyra and Alicent changes a lot over the course of the series. After episode 5, we get a completely new perspective on the events of the battle for the Iron Throne.
When will House of the Dragon episodes 5 and 6 be on TV?
The 5th and 6th episodes of House of the Dragon will be released on January 22, 2024 broadcast on ProSieben at 8:15 p.m. The programming is exciting in that we see the series break in one evening, whereas the original release had a full week between episodes.
